DEM Party İmralı delegation meeting with Abdullah Öcalan end

NEWS CENTER – The People’s Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party İmralı Delegation meeting with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan was ended. It was stated that the meeting lasted two and a half hours. 

The delegation held the meeting before the week in which critical developments are expected to take place regarding solution of the Kurdish issue. The meeting of the delegation consisting of Pervin Buldan, Mithat Sancar and Ozgur Faik Erol with Abdullah Öcalan lasted two and a half hours. The delegation is expected to make a written statement. 
 
The delegation is expected to meet with AKP Chair and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the meeting at a time when Abdullah Öcalan will make a historic statement. Also next week, PKK members are expected to organise and arms laying ceremony in the Federated Kurdistan Region within the framework of call of Abdullah Öcalan.
 
Imralı delegation members Pervin Buldan and Ozgur Faik Erol went to Imralı Island on 18 May and held a meeting. Making a statement through the delegation, Abdullah Öcalan stated that a new social contract was needed. 
Since the discussions on the solution of the Kurdish issue began, the Imralı delegation has met with Abdullah Öcalan 6 times.
