Untreated prisoner loses eye

TOKAT – Omer Yaman, a 70-year-old prisoner who was prevented from receiving treatment in Tokat Prison, stated that he lost the sight in his left eye because he could not receive cataract treatment.

 
Prisoners in Tokat T-Type Closed Prison have been prevented from being taken to hospital for about a year because they refuse to accept the oral search. The health condition of the prisoners, whose right to treatment is prevented, is getting worse day by day. Prisoners who refuse to accept the imposition are subjected to disciplinary penalties by the prison administration.
 
LOST AN EYE
 
Omer Yaman, a 70-year-old seriously ill prisoner held in Tokat Prison, stated that he lost the sight in his left eye because he could not receive cataract treatment due to these practices. In a meeting with his lawyers, Yaman stated that he had lost his sight because he had not been treated for 6 months and that he could not see anything.
 
Yaman, who has many diseases such as hypertension, eye pressure, urinary tract infection in addition to cataracts, is in an increasingly serious health condition.
